WAR MEMORIALS

As well as being asked to design and build new war memorials, we are always delighted to be able to undertake the restoration and conservation work necessary to keep the memory alive of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

We have worked on memorials made from granite, marble, sandstone and limestone, and the conservation and restoration work we are most often asked to undertake includes:

  • Cleaning
  • Re-cutting inscriptions
  • Providing new inscriptions
  • Removal and re-erection (in a different location)
  • Replacing decayed stone features
  • Removing graffiti
  • Re-pointing
  • Re-fixing stonework
  • Removing oxidising iron cramps

Please contact us if you wish to discuss a particular project or would like a quotation.

"In conjunction with Mark, we assessed the condition of the stonework and determined a philosophy of repair and replacement. Mark and his team worked diligently through the work and I would have no hesitation in asking Mask Stafford Stonemasonry to tender for further projects." Architect - Purcell Miller Tritton
